Timing the Commute

We woke up early, walked down the block, hopped on the 86 bus, transferred onto the subway, and made our way to broadway street in Cambridge where Jeff will be meeting on his first day with KPMG. During his internship last summer, he worked out of the Boston office in the financial district, but his company recently opened an office in Cambridge, which is conveniently closer to where we live, and Jeff wanted to see how long the commute would take during rush hour. It wasn't too long at all!

It was great to find out that the KPMG Cambridge office was literally across the street from the subway exit.

The office is on the fifteenth floor of this building.

We arrived at the office earlier than expected and had some time to see the surroundings and enjoy the nice weather. We found this awesome area just a few blocks away.

After walking around Cambridge a bit, we got back on the T and headed into downtown Boston. It's fun to just walk around the city and take in the sites. First stop, Quincy Market!

Cool outdoor book sale in the Downtown Crossing area.

After lunch at Boloco (a tasty burrito restaurant) we walked across Boston Common and into the Public Gardens. We loved spending time here last summer and wanted to go again.

Quite possibly my favorite statue in Boston.

We love the Boston Public Garden. It was a fun day in the city!
