A Visit from our New York Family

Just as we hoped, the Webbs came to visit! They packed up the kiddos in the car and made the drive from Ithaca to Boston on friday to meet us for a night at the best ballpark on earth. FENWAY PARK!!! I love that place so much. The sights, sounds, and smells of a ballpark are just magical.

It was the perfect game to go to - the Red Sox took the AL East Division Championship with the win!

Maggie was a little tired after the game.

On Saturday we drove south of the city to visit Joe's friend and his wife. We had a wonderful lunch and then walked around the Arnold Arboretum. This place will be flush with fall colors in a few weeks. We might have to go back!

I wanted to get a picture of US sitting here with the city skyline behind, but this couple didn't move. So just pretend it's us and it's a lovely photo.

Saturday evening we drove out to Westford, MA to visit Kimball Farm again. We thought we were headed to the ice cream stand we visited last summer, but instead our GPS took us to the real Kimball Farm which had much more to offer. It was a fun surprise!

It ended up being this huge place with everything from the ice cream stand to mini golf, batting cages, and a petting zoo. There was a seafood and burger grill too so we got dinner!

Joe got the twin lobster. So much food!

 And of course we got some Kimball Farm ice cream. So thick, creamy, and delicious.

Even the kiddie cones are giant.

It's confirmed. Kimball Farm has THE best ice cream.

We ate our treats inside the country store, which was totally cute!

After ice cream we got some tokens for the batting cages and hit our little hearts out.

It was great to have the Webbs here, even if it was just a couple of days. Hope to see them again soon!
